Nook Colour Review. What is best the nook, kindle or ipad?

Screen
The screen is nice and bright. Touch screen is very responsive and reacts quickly, even more responsive than my Droid. I took it to thanksgiving and read outside and the screen is easy to read outdoors.

Interface
The home screen interface leaves a little to be desired but functions well. You can save books, magazines, and newspapers to the desktop, but only if they were purchased from the bn.com store. Other than that its pretty minimalist. You can also change your background on the fly.

Web
The web browser is very nice for stock. It doesn't support flash yet, but is supposed go be updated to Android 2.2 in January which does natively support flash. The update is supposed to add app support as well through a curated store like apples.

Reading
Reading is pretty straightforward but it has some extras that are nice. You can increase or decrease your text size, bookmark, lookup words, highlight, and share passages on twitter and facebook.

Battery life is respectable for a tablet, I got like 10 hours out of it on my first charge. It has some extras like chess, crossword, and radio.

Overall its a solid reader but until they have an app store or a root for it, it won't hit its full potential as a tablet. the best feature that u could get would be the hack for the nook colour.
while the NOOKcolor gets A LOT of publicity for being so hackable, it's probably only a small percentage of users who hack it. Most use it as-is out of the box, and I can tell you that the out of the box experience will satisfy 90% of what people expect from a tablet. It plays music and movies, reads books, has a decent browser and a few games. They're adding more apps to their curated store, and so most users aren't going to go hunting for experimental hacks.

From what I've heard though, once Honeycomb is officially announced and out, the hack for it on the NOOKcolor will improve immensely. It will make it a lot easier if you're interested in that sort of thing.

The best way to get ebooks for the nook i haev found is a service called nook ebooks which is a service called Nook Ebooks where i now get as many downloads as i wish for a one off fee of just $20 i cannot recommend this service enough.
